Leanne McAlister and Everlyn Chitente at the Free to Lead Conference

ZOE Projects has a really cool network of Canadians (living in both Canada and abroad) as well as amazing national leaders.  Every once in awhile we are going to do a post called "Women you should know" to introduce you to amazing people within this network.

Everlyn Chitente from Zambia was a guest recently at the Free to Lead conference in Fort Langley, BC (https://www.facebook.com/freetolead).  The conference was designed to "inspire women to leadership".  Everlyn did just that by sharing about her calling as a young person to work with vulnerable children.  She shared the journey from the initial "call" to becoming an overseer at the Village of Hope in Kitwe. (Check more out here - http://www.vohafrica.com/category/voh-kitwe-2/)

Everlyn encouraged the women at Free to Leadto "not despise days of small beginnings...you never know where you will get to...we are all on a journey and we can trust God in it".

We recorded the interview I did with Everlyn and you can find that here:

Thank you Everlyn for being a strong female leader in the nation of Zambia...you are inspiring!
